Re: Betway
What does in excess of 10m a year mean?

So a 150% increase over 18 months and puts us below the top 6 but nearly double the best of the rest...

Re: Betway
Even more of a reason why they can't attract one then.

Change the CL bit to, until we regularly compete in the top four then.

So Arsenal play at Ashburton Grove in the CL?

sponsored stadiums cant be named in european competition.

Re: Betway
What exposure does the place get other than us playing domestically and possibly Europa for a bit?

Companies don't sponsor things because folk think they're good, until we are Champions League, it won't pull in a lot of money as not much from there will be broadcast to the massive audiences.

The responsibility to get the sponsor is not ours though, it's the stadium owner.

We could have pushed for a shirt/stadium tie in with the owners but signing with Betway till 2020 would suggest that's out the question now.

Re: Betway
So who's responsible for getting a naming sponsor for the OS? You'd think with it's legacy of being the OS and a great sporting venue would lend itself to sports brand companies.

Re: Betway
Who's blaming the club on naming rights?

The DRUIDS always knew we wouldn't be getting any, Karren son even said so it was the OSer who were making all the claims and criticising people for actually being correct.

Re: Betway
PS - we have no role to play in the stadium naming rights.

It's completely out of our hands. Still, camply blame the club as you spray yourself up with fake tan all you want, if it makes you happy.

You're not wrong, 3 son, some right old moaners when they came on board ...someone even said it was a CHARLTON ATHLETIC level...

Still, shirt sponsorship doesn't matter...

Re: Betway - New Shirt Sponsor
Various reports have stated that West Ham United will take a healthy proportion of the stadium naming rights - which will be very lucrative indeed...

Re: Betway
A big company they may be, giving us the sums of money the OSer divs tried to claim they would to move us up in the spending stratosphere they most certainly are not.

No sneering, that's FACT.

Re: Betway
BetWay are one of the largest betting companies around.

They have adverts on the telly all the time and sponsor massive sporting events all over the world.

Still, there's a very camp minority on here who will sneer at everything.

Re: Betway
A European sponsor.....interesting.

The stadium can't be branded for a sponsor for European games, so the fact that Betway can't be used in European games either means a potential stadium sponsor may still want to sponsor the shirts for european games. Wonder if they had the gumption to write that into the contract with Betway?

Re: Betway
I agree with Johnson, this whole sponsorship seems odd to me. A big new stadium in London and we can't get any big company willing to sponsor it. Something wrong there.
